Kitchen Escape 2024 Registration

We are so excited you'll be joining us for the Kitchen Escape!
Below are the accomodation types & rates, followed by several questions to help you have the best retreat possible. At the end of the form you will be able to make your accomodation choice.
Accommodation Types
There are two types of accommodations – private lodge rooms or shared cabins. Both the cabins and lodge rooms have ADA-accessible options. There are a limited amount of lodge rooms, so we recommend registering early if that is your preference.

Lodge Rooms (Private, 1 – 4 people)

The Lodge at Camp Newman was built in the last year and has hotel style double occupancy rooms. Each room can accommodate up to 4 people, but can be booked for as few as 1 person. Each room has 2 queen beds, a private bathroom, mini fridge, microwave & Keurig coffee maker. Bedding & towels are also provided.

Cabins (Shared with other Kitchen-ites, up to 8 people)
Think newly built in 2021, with roomy bunks, private indoor bathroom, heating, and that sleep up to 8 people where some households will be bunked with other households. When registering, you can indicate if you’d like to share a cabin with specific people or families.
Rates
Rates are per person. Children under 2 are free. The cost covers your stay for 2 nights and all food.

Permissions
I give permission for photos and video of my household, taken during the weekend, to be used for internal use (The Kitchen newsletters/slideshows/etc).
I give permission for photos and video of my household, taken during the event, to be used for editorial or promotional purposes by The Kitchen in any media, including print, online and video. Names will not be attached to any photos or videos.
Waiver
Please read the following text and check the box below. 
 
Dear Kitchen Escapee: 
You (and your household) are signed up to participate in Kitchen Escape 2024, from February 2-4, 2024, at Camp Newman in Santa Rosa, CA. We will be with staff from The Kitchen: Slow Down, Jew Up (or, the "Kitchen") on site.

By agreeing to this waiver, you understand that the event involves risk such as injury. You assume all risks and hazards incidental to such participation and do hereby release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless The Kitchen organization, staff, and volunteers from any and all liability and losses (including attorneys’ fees) that may arise out of your family’s participation in this activity.  You also give consent for emergency medical treatment if necessary. As parent and/or legal guardian, you remain fully responsible for any legal responsibility which may result from any personal actions taken by your child(ren). 

You understand that this waiver means you give up your right to bring any claims including for personal injuries, death, disease or property losses, or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence and give up any claim you may have to seek damages, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen. You understand and agree that the law of the State of California will apply to this waiver.
 
YOU HAVE CAREFULLY READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ALL PROVISIONS OF THIS RELEASE, AND FREELY AND KNOWINGLY ASSUME THE RISK AND WAIVE YOUR RIGHTS CONCERNING LIABILITY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. 
We have carefully read and fully understand all provisions of this release, and freely and knowingly assume the risk and waive our rights concerning liability as described above. 
Transportation
Food
All meals at Kitchen Escape will be Kosher style, vegetarian, and nut-free. We will be able to accommodate most food needs and allergies.

Housing + Payment
Financial Assistance
Everyone should be able to attend Kitchen Escape. While the registration fees cover only the cost for the weekend, we have financial aid available. Please email Spencer at spencer@thekitchensf.org to talk about financial assistance. 
Support Kitchen Escape
We want our Kitchen Escape Weekend to be inclusive for the entire community, including those who may have financial barriers. Please consider making a donation towards sponsorship tickets, which will be used to ensure that everyone who wants to attend The Kitchen Escape can.
